Art packing walk-in workshop

There are 154,000 artworks stored in the Depot, many of which are regularly transported for new exhibitions . To ensure that objects are moved as safely as possible, professional art handlers are specialised in packing and unpacking works of art and safely moving them between museums .

Get to know the different ways of packing and unpacking art. Which packing material is best for paper works, and which for ceramics? How do we ensure that fragile works arrive at their destination unharmed? Join us and learn how you can pack that antique vase when you're next moving house.
